Graphite Electrode

As the key high temperature conductive material in the electric smelting industry, graphite electrodes are used in the electric arc furnaces and ladle refining furnaces for steel making and electric smelting furnaces for producing industrial silicon, yellow phosphorus and corundum. Graphite electrodes carry huge amount of electricity power into the furnace and generate high temperature arcs to smelt the loading materials. Graphite electrodes combine several excellent performances such as good electrical conductivity and heat resistance, as well as strong thermal shock resistance.


Graphite electrodes are supplied with grades of the regular power (RP), impregnated (IP), high power (HP), super high power (SHP) and ultra high power (UHP) in accordance with their current carrying load.
